Houma, Louisiana (SafeCITY) - Edna Verdin, a 51-year-old Louisiana woman was jailed after she allegedly assaulted her boyfriend with a frozen steak.
According to the Houma Police Department, Verdin became angry when she attempted to place a bottle of Tequila Rose in the freezer to cool down, but couldn't get it to fit.
In a fit of anger, she reportedly pulled a frozen steak out of the freezer and then clobbered her live-in boyfriend in the head with it. The victim, identified as 51-year-old Jerry Voisin, suffered a large bloody gash on the forehead as a result.
Verdin was booked into the Terrebonne Parish Jail on a charge of aggravated battery. She was released after posting bond.
