Pittsburgh, PA (SafeCITY) - Jeffrey Runco, a 43-year-old Pittsburgh man was jailed after he threatened to "chop up" a neighbor with a hatchet before attacking police, claiming he was Jesus Christ.
According to Pittsburgh Police, officers were dispatched to an apartment complex on a report of "loud music" when they arrived to find a lunatic who was harassing his neighbors.
Investigators say Runco broke his neighbor's window with a hatchet and yelled "I'm going to (expletive) kill you! I'm going to come in there and chop you up."
Another neighbor stated that Runco left a note for her that stated "It's your fault I relapsed.. I'm going to pay you back," according to the arrest affidavit.
When officers arrived at the scene, Runco refused to open his door. When police kicked in his door and entered the residence, Runco reportedly popped out of a closet attempted to attack the officers.
"He's screaming at five cops, telling them that he is Jesus Christ and where are they going to park the helicopter - because they're going to have to get in through the roof because he's Jesus Christ," stated one neighbor who saw the arrest from his apartment window.
Another neighbor stated that Runco told police he wouldn't be caught until after he finished his bottle of Nikoli Vodka.
Runco was eventually wrestled down, hog tied and carted off to jail on charges of criminal attempt, terroristic threats and criminal mischief.
