Franklin, Ind (SafeCITY) - Larry Bernard, a 54-year-old Indiana man was arrested after he robbed a gas station with a 12-inch-knife and women's panties on his head.
According to Franklin police, Bernard allegedly burst into a Clark Oil gas station wielding a 12-inch-knife and wearing women's underwear on his head.
Investigators say Bernard grabbed a customer at knife-point and then pointed the knife at two employees behind the counter, demanding money, cigarettes and a lighter.
Authorities were able to obtain a description of Bernard and later found him intoxicated, staggering in an alley near his home. A knife, two packs of cigarettes, money and a pair of panties matching the description given by the the witnesses were all recovered upon Bernard's arrest.
He was booked into the Johnson County Jail on charges of robbery and battery. His bond was set at $21,000.
