Fort Walton Beach, FL (SafeCITY) – Melody Sanders, a 33-year-old Fort Walton Beach woman was jailed after she was caught shoplifting several kinky items from a Walton Beach sex shop.
According to Fort Walton Beach police, Sanders was caught on surveillance video stealing $172.80 in items including a Triple Indulgence Personal Massager, a Spartacus Leather Thong Whip, Climax Tingling Lube, and Sex Tarts Lemonade Lube from an Intimate Treasures retail store back in late December.
Investigators say Sanders was caught on camera kneeling behind a display rack placing the items into a pink handbag.
Sanders then left the store and got into a car with a black male. Officers pulled over the vehicle and during a search found a foil gum wrapper containing three rocks of cocaine and a glass tube.
The shoplifted items were also found in Sander’s purse with the tags still on them. Sanders told officers at first that her name was Melody Higgs, but she was later identified as Sanders.
She was booked into jail and charged with retail theft, drug possession, and giving police a false name. Bond information was not available.
Sanders also had an outstanding warrant issued by the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office for a previous charge of battery.
