Marlborough, NH (SafeCITY) - Jeanna Mercure, 22, and Robert Smith, 32, were arrested on prostitution charges after Smith called police to report he paid for sex, but didn’t get his money’s worth from Mercure.
According to Marlborough police, Smith told investigators that he paid $150 to Mercure and another person on Sunday on the promise that Mercure would have sex with him.
Police received a call from Smith on Monday stating that Mercure never lived up to her end of the bargain and refused to refund his money, according to investigators.
Smith and Mercure were both booked into jail and each charged with one count of prostitution. Bond information was not available.
Mercure is scheduled to be arraigned on May 24, while Smith is scheduled to be arraigned Feb 11.
The third party is still under investigation.
