St. Petersburg, FL (SafeCITY) - Michael Ray, a 27-year-old Florida man was jailed after he allegedly robbed a Dunkin Donuts, fleeing with cash and two glazed donuts.
According to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office, Ray entered the Dunkin' Donuts on Pasadena Ave just before 6 a.m. and ordered the cashier to give him all the money in the register.
The cashier placed the money into a Dunkin Donuts bag along with two glazed donuts. Ray then fled the scene in a cranberry colored Hyundai.
Deputies spotted Ray's car a short time later and took him into custody without incident.
Ray told deputies that he robbed the doughnut shop to raise money for a new tire.
He was booked into the Pinellas County Jail on a felony robbery charge.
