Vero Beach, Florida - Michelle Marie Kaufmann, a 32-year-old Boca Raton woman was arrested after she was allegedly caught inside a Blockbuster Video Store With dozens of stolen DVDs stuffed down her pants.
According to the Vero Beach Police Department, an employee inside a Blockbuster video store called 911 after watching Kaufmann cut open movie cases and then shove the DVDs in her pants.
Investigators say an officer arrived on scene while Kaufmann was still in the store and approached her while she had six opened DVDs in her hand. As the officer led her to the front of the store, another two dozen disks fell out of her pants, according to the arrest affidavit.
In all, Kaufman had possession of $639 in DVDs at the time of her arrest.
She was booked into the Indian River County Jail on a charge of grand theft. Bail was set at $5,000.
