Indianapolis, IN – Paul Wagner, 25, a deputy with the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, was arrested when Indianapolis police caught him offering a prostitute soda and cigarettes in exchange for sex.
According to Marion County Prosecutors, Wagner attempted to use his job as an off-duty security guard to obtain sexual favors from several women near the gas station he provided security services for.
Indianapolis Police launched an investigation after a woman told them Wagner had solicited her for sex her on a number of occasions.
Investigators wired the woman for sound and reportedly obtained a recording of Wagner's conversation with her - offering a pack of cigarettes and soda for oral sex.
Wagner, who has been with the department for 10 months, was arrested while sporting his sheriff’s uniform. He was formally charged with official misconduct and patronizing a prostitute.
The department has also suspended him without pay, pending an internal investigation.
