LOBSTERS IN PANTS

D'Iberville, Mississippi (SafeCITY) - Nathan Mark Hardy, a 35-year-old Biloxi man was jailed after he allegedly stuffed live lobsters, shrimp and other food items down his pants and then tried to walk out of the store without paying for them.

According to D'Iberville police, Hardy entered the Winn Dixie grocery store and reportedly stuffed two bags of jumbo shrimp, a pork loin, and two live lobsters down his shorts.

Investigators say Hardy attempted to walk out of the store without paying for the items in his pants, but was stopped by employees. He threw the pork loin at staff members and then attempted to flee the scene.

Hardy's seafood heist was cut short when he ran into officers who had just arrived at the scene.

Hardy was booked into the Harrison County Jail on charges of misdemeanor shoplifting and probation violation. He remains jailed with no bond pending a court hearing.
