DUST HUFFER

Naples, Florida (SafeCITY) - Last year we introduced you to Jennifer Fernandez, a 37-year-old Florida woman who was found passed out in an ally after huffing two cans of dust remover. That was the second time she had been arrested after she was found huffing the chemical.

Miss Fernandez is a year older now, but apparently not much wiser.

According to the Collier County Sheriff's Office, Fernandez was arrested again Sunday after she was found in the bathroom stall of a local Wal-Mart huffing more dust remover.

Investigators say a maintenance crew at the North Naples Wal-Mart was trying to clean the restroom when they found Fernandez lying on the floor of a handicapped stall. The caller told dispatchers that store employees heard the sound of spraying coming from inside the stall.

Deputies arrived to find the door of the stall locked. The deputy looked over the stall's partition and saw Fernandez slumped over the toilet with a can of dust remover beneath her head. Two more cans of dust remover were also found inside the stall.

When Fernandez stepped out of the stall, she walked a few steps and then vomited into another toilet. The front of her shirt was covered with vomit when deputies asked her for identification.

Fernandez was booked into the Collier County Jail on charges of ingesting/inhaling dangerous chemicals, possession of drug paraphernalia and retail theft under $100. She remains in custody in lieu of a $15,000 bond.
