BURGER IN PANTS

Spartanburg, South Carolina (SafeCITY) - Lori Turner, a 39-year-old Spartanburg woman was jailed after she allegedly attempted to steal a McDonald's sandwich by stuffing it down her pants.

According to police, Turner entered a McDonald's restaurant while intoxicated, and proceeded to order two sandwiches and two small coffees.

The cashier handed Turner a bag containing the sandwiches and then turned around to make her coffees. That's when Turner allegedly stuffed one of the sandwiches down her pants before complaining to the cashier she had been shorted a sandwich.

Investigators say Turner became belligerent, disturbing the other customers at the restaurant, and employees called police.

When officers arrived on the scene, Turner was still screaming at employees, demanding her free sandwich. A deputy noticed a large grease stain on the front of Turner's pants and asked her to remove the sandwich. She refused until a female officer arrived to conduct a pat down search.

It wasn't long before the sandwich was located in Turner's pants and removed.

Turner reportedly continued her quest to cause a scene at the restaurant as police handcuffed her and frog marched her to jail.

Turner was booked into jail and charged with disorderly conduct. McDonald’s refunded Turner’s money and had her put on a trespassing order.
