IN THE SHOWER

Portland Oregon (SafeCITY) - Timothy James Chapek, a 24-year-old Oregon man was jailed after he allegedly broke into a man's home to use his shower and then called 911 for help when the homeowner returned home with two German Shepherds.

According to Portland Police, Chapek broke into a man's home and was taking a shower when the homeowner returned to the home unexpectedly with two German Shepherds.

When the homeowner asked Chapek what he was doing in his house, Chapek locked the bathroom door and called 911.

Investigators say Chapek explained the situation to 911 operators and expressed concern that the homeowner might have a gun.

The homeowner was also on the phone with 911 explaining that he had just encountered a strange man in his house.

Chapek remained locked inside the bathroom until police arrived. He was booked into the Multnomah County Jail on a charge of criminal trespass. His bail was set at $2,500.

Chapek had recently been released from jail on a $60,000 bond after his arrest in January for an unrelated offense.
