HAFFRO

Stamford, Connecticut (SafeCITY) - David Davis, a 21-year-old New Haven man was jailed after he allegedly grabbed a pair of scissors and stabbed unnamed victim in the back - all while in the middle of a haircut.

Davis' "haffro" mugshot was captured before his haircut could be completed in jail.

According to Stamford police, Davis was getting a haircut inside an apartment in Stamford when he began arguing with another man at the residence.

In retaliation, Davis allegedly picked up a pair of scissors and slashed the man in the back - claiming that the victim was "attacking him."

Investigators say the victim was wearing a large coat at the time, but that there was a lot of blood and the extent of the injuries are still unknown. Davis was found at another apartment after police received an anonymous tip as to his whereabouts.

He was treated at a local hospital for a non-life threatening injury before he was taken to jail.

Davis now faces a charge of first-degree assault. He is being held on a $5,000 bond and is due back in court on March 22.

Davis also had an outstanding warrant for his arrest after failing to appear in court for an unrelated charge. His bond was set at an additional $750 for that charge.
