SMACKED HUSBAND


Town Creek, Tennessee (SafeCITY) - Angelia Davis, a 44-year-old Tennessee woman, was arrested for allegedly trying to smack her husband in the head with a rock, then biting a police officer.

According to the Town Creek Police Department, an officer responded to a call of a woman throwing things at her husband and beating the walls of the house with a piece of wood.

The officer was trying to talk to someone inside the residence when he saw Davis with a large rock trying to bash her husband in the head.

Investigators say the officer stopped Davis and put her in the back of the patrol car but Davis pushed the car door open and started fighting him. During the altercation, Davis bit the officer on the hand. After getting Davis under control and handcuffed, the officer saw a plastic bag with marijuana hanging out of her pants.

On the way to jail, Davis made several threats towards the officer and in the booking room, she kicked him in the groin.

Davis was booked into the Lawrence County Jail and charged with second-degree assault of a police officer, domestic violence third-degree assault, second-degree possession of marijuana and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia
