CUCUMBER IN PANTS

Enfield, Connecticut (SafeCITY) - Gary Germaine, a 46-year-old Connecticut man was jailed after he allegedly used a dildo and a cucumber - placed in his pants - to sexually harass convenience store shoppers.

According to police, officers were dispatched to the Shop Rite convenience store Thursday night when witnesses complained that a man was exposing himself to customers.

Germaine was stopped by officers while attempting to drive away from the store. Inside his vehicle, police found a rubber dildo, a jock strap and a cucumber that had been wrapped in duct tape.

Investigators say security video of the premises showed Germaine placing the items into his pants and then confronting adults and children.

Germaine, who is a registered sex offender in Massachusetts and Connecticut, was convicted in 1996 and 1998 of open and gross lewdness and lascivious behavior. He was then reportedly convicted of the same charge again in 2001.

Germain was booked into jail on two counts of risk of injury to a minor and one count of second-degree breach of peace. His bond was set at $100,000.
