Columbus, Ohio (SafeCITY) - Lisette Lee, a 28-year-old Beverly Hills woman was arrested after she allegedly tried to sneak more than 500 pounds of marijuana onto an airplane - packed inside 13 large suitcases.

According to federal drug enforcement officials, authorities at a Los Angeles airport witnessed Lee boarding a chartered Gulf Stream jet with a large amount of luggage. Her ticket showed that she was traveling to Port Columbus International Airport in Ohio.

When the plane arrived at the airport, 13 bags of luggage were unloaded into three waiting vans. DEA officials seized the bags and recovered 500 pounds of marijuana. They also found cocaine and a ledger that showed profits in excess of $300,000.

Lee told authorities that she had no idea she was traveling with drugs.

Lee was booked into jail and charged with possession of drugs with the intent to distribute. She is being held without bond pending a hearing. Her bodyguard and two personal assistants were also arrested.
