HIS/HERS NIGHTIE

Fort Meyers, FL (SafeCITY) - Lawrence Horowitz, a 43-year-old Florida man was arrested after he put on his girlfriend's nightgown and then battered her when she made a comment about it.

According to the Lee County Sheriff's Office, Horowitz and his girlfriend went out for food and drinks with a couple of friends. When the couple returned to the girlfriend's home, things got strange in a hurry.

Investigators say Horowitz' girlfriend was in the kitchen when he came into the room wearing one of her nightgowns.

The woman thought he was being funny at first, and made a comment to him about it.

That's when Horowitz reportedly ripped off the woman's nightgown creating an injury to her shoulder. Horowitz then sat on the astounded woman.

The woman managed to break free, ran upstairs to a bedroom and locked the door behind her. Horowitz reportedly broke open the door, striking the woman in the face. The force of the door reportedly caused a gash to her face.

When the woman begged him to call 911, Horowitz allegedly refused because he was afraid of being arrested. Instead, he unplugged all household phones and took the woman's keys.

The woman eventually left the home and called law enforcement from her mother's house.

Horowitz was booked into the Lee County Jail on charges of battery. He was also reportedly booked on a warrant for grand theft occurring in Dec. of 2000.
