Toledo, Oh (SafeCITY) – Melodi Dushane, a 24-year-old East Toledo woman was jailed after she allegedly attacked a McDonalds drive thru window and the employee behind it when she was informed the restaurant did not have Chicken McNuggets available.
According to Toledo Police, Dushane stopped at a Toledo McDonalds early one morning and asked for chicken nuggets. When the attendant told her that they were not available on their breakfast menu, Dushane reached through the drive-thru window and punched the employee in the mouth.
When the night manager came to see what was going on, Dushane swung her fists at her. The manager then tried to pull Dushane through the drive-thru window by her hair. When Dushane was released, she punched through the window, breaking the glass, according to investigators.
Dushane was taken to the Mercy St. Charles Hospital and treated for her injuries she received when she punched out the window.. She was then released and then taken to jail. No injuries were reported from the McDonalds employees involved in the incident.
Dushane was booked into Lucas County Jail and charged with felony vandalism. She appeared in Toledo Municipal Court where she pleaded not guilty to the charge. She was released and is scheduled to appear in court again on Jan. 28th.
Dushane was also ordered by the judge to stay away from that particular McDonalds.
