GUT FEELING? PROVED RIGHT!

Lenexa, Kansas - Aaron Walton, a 33-year-old Lenexa man was arrested after he lied about being a police officer while on a date - threatened to arrest the woman if she didn't go to his house and ultimately assaulted her before police arrived.

According to police, the man and woman were headed to the man's house in separate cars when the woman decided to pull into a McDonald's parking lot and call police.

She reportedly told police the man told her he was a police officer, but that she had a "gut feeling" something wasn't right.

Investigators say the man circled back around and pulled into the parking lot demanding that he follow her, that he was a police officer and would arrest her if she didn't comply. An altercation broke out between the couple before the man ultimately fled the scene.

Officers went to the man's house where they found items that "could lead some people to believe he was some sort of law enforcement officer." He was arrested at the residence without incident.

Walton was booked into jail on misdemeanor charges of battery and false imprisonment.
