STUFFED GATOR

Howell, Michigan (SafeCITY) - Three inebriated men, John Sanborn, 53, Douglas Ward, 55, and Roy Griffith, 60, were all jailed after they allegedly stole a 14-foot stuffed alligator and went mud-bogging with it.

According to Howell police, the three men reportedly broke into a barn in Hartland Township and stole a flattened and preserved alligator. They then secured it to a pick-up truck and proceeded to go off-roading with the dead alligator.

Investigators say the alligator's owner followed the suspect's tire tracks from his barn to a party in Deerfield Township where he found the men driving the vehicle in the mud.

Sanborn, Ward, and Griffith were booked into jail and charged with breaking and entering. They are all due to appear in Livingston County District Court.
