TO PRAY


Tampa, Florida (SafeCITY) - Fawn Charbonier Loyd, a 50-year-old Florida woman was jailed after she was allegedly caught steeling hundreds of dollars worth of mementos from a Tampa area grave site.


According to police, a passer-by at the Myrtle Hill Cemetery watched as Loyd went from grave to grave removing hundreds of dollars worth of mementos and then placing them into her car.

Officers called to the scene found various items inside her car including flowers, stuffed animals, flags, figurines, solar powered lights and balloons.

When the officer approached Loyd, she denied stealing anything and stated that she came to the cemetery to pray. When the officer asked for identification, she stated that she did not have one and provided the officer with a false name.

She was booked into jail on charges of disturbing contents of a grave or tomb, grand theft, loitering and prowling.
