RAGE IN WAL-MART

Elyria, Ohio (SafeCITY) - Toni Duncan, 49, and her daughter Ashley Jackson, 21, were jailed after Duncan allegedly attacked a 71-year-old Wal-Mart greeter after he asked to see a receipt.

According to police, Duncan and her daughter became angry inside an Elyria Wal-Mart when an employee did not perform to her satisfaction during a money order transaction.

Investigators say anger turned into rage when an elderly front-door greeter asked the two ladies women to show a receipt for several items they had purchased at the store.

That's when Duncan, who is reportedly pregnant, shoved a shopping cart into the greeter, grabbed his throat and began choking him.

Police say Duncan and Jackson then began to yell obscenities at the man, calling him a "f...ing cracker."

"If you don't let go of that receipt, I'm going to punch you in the face," Jackson threatened.

Jackson then ran back to the customer service desk, where she unloaded another round of blathering tirades.

"When I tell my boyfriend about the door greeter, he won't be alive," Jackson yelled. "I'm going to blow up Wal-Mart."

She reportedly threatened to blow up the store a total of three times, according to the arrest report.

When police rolled on the scene, the two women were in the parking lot with two small children. Duncan reportedly admitted to police that she choked the greeter before informing the officer that she wished to press charges against several employees who she thought had harassed her.

When the officer asked Jackson if she threatened to blow up the store, she reportedly said "Yeah, I did. so there."

Duncan was booked into jail on a charge of assault. Jackson was charged with aggravated menacing and inducing panic.
