2 THE DAYCARE

Land O' Lakes, Florida (SafeCITY) - Lisa Finley, a 38-year-old Land O' Lakes woman was jailed after she allegedly wrecked a car that subsequently caught on fire while she was heavily intoxicated.

She was on her way to pick up her children from daycare when the accident occurred.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Finley crashed her Dodge Durango into a mailbox, a traffic sign and row of bushes. Although Finley was not injured in the incident, the car caught on fire as a result of the crash.

Investigators say officers arrived to the scene and noted that Finely was clearly intoxicated and unable to stand up on her own. Officers stated that she fell asleep several times, and didn't respond until she was sat upright and her name was shouted.

When officers asked where Finley was driving to, she stated that she "believed" that she was on her way to pick up her two-year-old and four-year-old children from daycare.

Finley was booked into the Pasco County Jail and charged with DUI and three counts of DUI causing property damage. She was released Tuesday after posting $1,500 bail.
