LIGHT MY FIRE


lockport, Louisiana (SafeCITY) - Gloria Leboeuf, a 23-year-old Louisiana woman was jailed after she allegedly doused her boyfriend with lighter fluid and then tried to set him on fire.

According to the Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office, Leboeuf went to a concrete plant where her boyfriend was working and approached him while wielding a knife..

Investigators say the boyfriend fled to a nearby trailer, however Leboeuf followed him to the trailer and sprayed it with lighter fluid. When the boyfriend fled the trailer, Leboeuf managed to spray him with lighter fluid as well.

Leboeuf was in the process of lighting a piece of newspaper on fire when another worker at the plant intervened. She responded by jumping into her vehicle and then attempting to back over the worker before finally fleeing the scene.

Detectives arrested Leboeuf at her home while recovering the knife she allegedly used in the incident from her car.

Leboeuf was booked into the Lafourche Parish Detention Center on charges of aggravated arson and two counts of aggravated battery. Her bail has been set at $40,000.
