ZAPPED FROG

Florence, Arizona (SafeCITY) - Raul Alvarado, a 34-year-old Arizona man is fighting to get his Sheriff's Office job back after he allegedly painted a frog with White-Out and then zapped it with a stun gun because "he was bored."

According to the Pinal County Sheriff's Office, Alvarado was terminated from his position after an internal investigation revealed that he tortured a frog.

Alvarado reportedly painted the frog with White-Out and then zapped it with a Taser for 5 seconds, causing to frog's legs to shoot straight out.

"He's taking it like a champion," Alvarado then reportedly told a fellow deputy. He then reportedly told a female dispatcher that he planned to take the frog into the desert and perform sex acts on it.

Another deputy told investigators that he found Alvarado sitting in his cubical with a box that contained the frog. Alvarado reportedly admitted to telling the dispatcher that he planned to perform sex acts on the frog, but denied using his Taser to abuse the frog.

After the Sheriff's Office terminated Alvarado, the county's Merit System Commission overturned his dismissal. The Sheriff's Office, however, plans to appeal the ruling.

"There's absolutely no doubt that deputy Alvarado lied in this case," said Sheriff's Office spokesman, Tim Gaffney. "As far as bringing him back, the sheriff has no intentions."

Alvarado was initially charged with animal cruelty, however the charge was later dropped
