I'M NOT ME


Norman, Oklahoma (SafeCITY) - A manhunt is underway after Rowdy Offield, a 39-year-old Cleveland County jail inmate, pretended to be his cell mate and escaped from jail on his cell mate's bond.

According to Cleveland County detectives, Offield was serving a 30 year sentence for an armed robbery and kidnapping after attempting to rob a Belton, Missouri check cashing place when he was brought in to Cleveland County armed robbery at a Norman Walmart and was awaiting trial.

Investigators say Offield Shaved his head and facial hair and drew temporary tattoos on his face and arms in attempt to disguise himself as his cell mate, who was about to be released. When his cell mate's name was called, Offeild claimed to be him and "freed himself" on his cell mate's bond money.

Despite efforts from local law enforcement, U.S. Marshals, and the District Attorney's Street Crimes Task Force, The suspect has not been found. He was last seen wearing black and white tennis shoes, black pants, black t-shirt and a white thermal shirt.
