HARDER, CHRIS...OOPS

Gary Higgs, a 44-year old Radcliff man was jailed after he allegedly stabbed his girlfriend to death because she yelled out the wrong name during sex.

According to police, Higgs reportedly got angry after his live-in girlfriend, 41-year-old Joanne Kitchen, shouted "harder, Chris" during sex. Kitchen tried to explain that she was thinking about her 20-year-old daughter's boyfriend, Chris, whom she had seen the day before.

Investigators say Higgs did not find Kitchen's explanation acceptable, and became even more enraged. Higgs left the bedroom, got a knife from the kitchen, and proceeded back upstairs. He then stabbed the victim twice, once in the back and once in the chest, then choked her to death with an alarm clock's electrical cord.

Joanne Kitchen, who was a security officer at Holy Cross Catholic College in Bury, left behind two daughters and two grandsons.

Higgs was booked into jail on murder charges. If convicted, he faces a minimum sentence of 15 years in prison before he can be considered for release.
