GOOD TRY!

Leander, Texas (SafeCITY) - Carolyn Barnes, a 53-year-old Texas attorney, was jailed after she allegedly shot at a census worker. She continued to fire as the worker tried to flee.

According to Texas Police, a census worker arrived in Barnes suburb and proceeded to Barnes doorstep.

That was when authorities say Barnes pointed a handgun at the census worker and then fired five shots as the worker attempted to run away.

It is unclear whether the census worker was hit with any of the shots fired by Barnes.

According to Police, Barnes has a previous arrest for trying to pass a multi-tool knife through the X-ray machine at Herman Sweatt Courthouse in December of 2009. She was also charged with assaulting a court officer.

According to court records, her prior arrests include charges of bail jumping, making terroristic threats, and coercion of a public servant to just name a few.

Barnes was booked into the Williamson County Jail on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon. Her bond was set at $50,000.
