Dalton, Georgia (SafeCITY) - Jason Dean, a 24-year-old employee at a Dalton area Taco Bell was jailed Wednesday after he allegedly handcuffed himself to a woman who refused to go out with him.
According to police, Dean pulled up next to an 18-year-old woman in the Taco Bell parking lot and handcuffed himself to her wrist.
The woman, who was a co-worker at the same store, called for help. Several employees ran outside and talked Dean into releasing the woman.
Witnesses told investigators that Dean had been trying to date the woman for several weeks and that several employees had to change shifts with her so she could avoid contact with him.
Dean was booked into jail on a charge of false imprisonment. Police also recovered the handcuffs believed to have been used in the incident.
