SLAVE AUCTION
Norfolk, Virginia (SafeCITY) - Jessica Boyle, a 30-year-old teacher at Sewell Point Elementary School in Norfolk committed a classic case of teacher FAIL when she reportedly auctioned off a group of black and mixed race students as part of a Civil War history lesson.
According to Sewell Point school administrators, Boyle was teaching a lesson on the Civil War when she instructed fourth-grade African-American and mixed race students to stand on one side of the classroom and White students to stand on the other. The African-American and mixed race students were then offered up for sale in a mock auction.
School Principal, Mary B. Wrushen, sent a letter home to parents stating her regret for the incident and promised to make sure it never happens again
