MORE BEER

Garden City, Idaho (SafeCITY) - Andrew Cumbie, a 28-year-old Oregon man, and his 20-year-old brother Joseph Cumbie, were arrested after they allegedly stole beer from a gas station at knife-point... and then went back for more beer.

Authorities say the Cumbie brothers entered a Chevron fueling station at around 1 a.m. to steal an 18 pack of beer. The Cumbie brothers allegedly held the employee at bay with a hunting knife before scampering into the night with their beer.

Investigators say the Cumbies' drank all of their loot and decided to go back for more. They reportedly returned to the same fueling station at about 6:45 a.m. to steal more beer.

During the second robbery attempt, the employee grabbed the case of beer and it split open, spilling its contents on the floor. One of the brothers went back to the cooler and grabbed another pack of Bud Lite so they wouldn't leave empty handed.

The Cumbie brothers were found at a nearby apartment complex where they were allegedly visiting with family.

Andrew and Joseph Cumbie are charged with 2 counts of robbery, 2 counts of aggravated assault, 2 counts of burglary and 1 count of conspiracy. Joseph Cumbie also has outstanding warrants for probation violation in Ada County and a fail to appear in Payette County. Bond information is not currently available.
