Greenwood, Mississippi (SafeCITY) - Andrew Lee Nash, a 52-year-old Greenwood man was jailed on charges that he sexually assaulted several hogs, giving four of them vaginal infections.
According to Greenwood police, the owner of several show hogs had the animals examined by a veterinarian on a routine basis. On one visit, the veterinarian noted that four of the hogs had a vaginal infection, believed to be caused by a sexual assault.
Investigators set up surveillance around the hog pen and caught Nash as he was sneaking into the pen for an alleged rendezvous with the hogs.
Nash was booked into the Leflore County jail and charged with 12 counts of unnatural intercourse. His bond was initially set at $600,000, but later reduced to $60,000. He is scheduled for court next month. If he is found guilty, he could face up to 120 years incarceration.
