Belmont, NC (SafeCITY) - Crystal Roberta Johnson, a 51-year-old homeless woman was jailed after she allegedly decided to take a stroll down the block in the nude because she was hot and needed to cool off.
According to Belmont police, a witness at a local funeral home observed Johnson walking naked behind the facility.
Investigators say when deputies arrived on the scene to find Johnson hiding in a nearby van, still in the nude. When they questioned her, she stated that her clothes made her hot and she removed them to cool off.
Johnson was booked into the Gaston County Jail and charged with indecent exposure. She was released on a $500 unsecured bond.
