RUCKED UP
Slidell, Louisiana (SafeCITY) - Ronnie Ricks, a 26-year-old New Orleans man, was arrested after asking a police officer for directions while driving in a stolen car.
According to Slidell Police Department spokesman Cpt. Kevin Foltz, Ricks drove up to an officer in line at a McDonald’s drive-thru and asked for directions to a local interstate.
The officer gave him the directions but had to repeat them a few times because Ricks couldn’t understand them.
After Ricks left, the officer had dispatch run the license plate through the system revealing that the car had been stolen earlier that day.
The officer alerted other officers and Ricks was pulled over on the interstate a short time later.
Ricks was charged with possession of stolen things and possession of marijuana. Bond was set at $22,000.
