WHAT THE HAILE?

Kingsport, TN (SafeCITY) – Haile O. Dujon, a 29-year-old Kingsport man was jailed after police allegedly found marijuana and pills hidden in his dreadlocks.

According to Kingsport police, officers were alerted by an anonymous call after Dujon and his two companions were seen flashing large amounts of money at a Waffle House around 3:00 a.m.

Officers stopped the vehicle they were traveling in at a Shell Station, and during the interview, he detected the smell of alcohol and marijuana.

The driver and passenger, 22-year-old Ashley Nicole Wright, were asked to step out of the car. Wright’s purse was left open on the front seat, with two white pills in plain sight. When asked what they were, Write stated that they were Temedol and that she had a prescription for them. She was arrested and charged with possession of a legend drug.

Police asked Dujon to step out of the backseat of the vehicle, and he was unsteady on his feet and needed assistance exiting the vehicle.

Dujon’s intoxication, and possession of $3,485 in cash prompted police to take him into jail for a strip search. During the search, police found two baggies containing 11 pills each and one bag of what was believed to be marijuana hidden in his dreadlocks.

A search of his cell phone revealed text messages indicating that he was involved in the purchase and sale of drugs.

Dujon was booked into jail and charged with possession of Schedule IV drugs for resale, possession of Schedule I drugs for resale, and introduction of narcotics into a penal facility. Bond information was not available.
