Dunnellon, Florida (SafeCITY) - Elsie Egan, a 53-year-old Florida woman was arrested after she allegedly beat her disabled, cancer stricken boyfriend with a steak.
Yeah we said it..... A steak.
According to the Marion County Sheriff's Office, an argument erupted between Egan and her disabled boyfriend when she insisted that he eat sliced bread - contrary to his desire to eat a bread roll.
Investigators say the argument turned physical when Egan grabbed an uncooked steak, beat him over the head with it and then proceeded to slap him across the face.
The man, who has been in a relationship with Egan for 16 years, told deputies Egan threw a bag of clothing at his "bad leg."
Deputies noted that the boyfriend is disabled and is terminally ill with cancer. The man was unable to call for help because he is unable to speak without the aid of an electronic amplifier.
Egan reportedly told the deputy that she slapped the man "so that he can learn," according to the arrest report.
Egan was booked into the Marion County Jail on a charge of abusing a disabled adult. Bail was set at $2,500.
