HUFFING PAINT

Fort Wayne, Indiana (SafeCITY) - Kelly Gene Gibson of Fort Wayne, Indiana was jailed for the 48th time after his wife turned him in for huffing paint.

According to the Fort Wayne Police Department, officers were dispatched to Gibson's home on a report of a domestic disturbance. When police arrived on the scene, Mr. Gibson was upstairs huffing paint.

Mrs Gibson told an officer that she was afraid to go inside her house alone, so she handed her keys to an officer and followed them inside.

Investigators say when officers went inside the residence, they were greeted with a strong odor of what they believed to be spray paint. Mr. Gibson was sitting on the couch with his shirt off and silver paint on his hands, mouth, nose, and chin. He was holding can of spray paint in his right hand, and a plastic bag covered in paint in his left.

Records show that this is Gibson's 48th arrest. His wife stated that she was tired of him huffing paint, so she called the police.

Gibson was booked into the Allen County jail on charges of inhaling toxic vapors.
